Lackland graduation transportation is built around one fixed schedule: the graduation parade and ceremony at Joint Base San Antonio–Lackland, and the family members flying in to watch it. Most arrive at San Antonio International (SAT) on Thursday, settle into hotels along Loop 410, Interstate 10 and US-90 on the west side, and need to be at the visitor gate well before the formation steps off. We plan pickups backwards from that time, not from the flight.
A&A Limousine handles the whole trip: airport pickup with flight tracking, the ride from the hotel to the base area, and the return after the ceremony, when the roads around the gates are busiest. Luxury SUVs suit a couple with luggage, Mercedes Sprinter Vans keep grandparents and siblings together, and mini buses cover larger families. For civilian ceremonies elsewhere in Texas, see our graduation limo service; this page covers the Lackland trip only.

Planning
Start with how many family members are flying in and how much luggage they are carrying, because graduation weekend in San Antonio usually means a Thursday or Friday arrival and a Sunday departure. The rows below show the combinations we book most often for Lackland graduation transportation, and you can compare capacities on our fleet page.
| Who is riding | Recommended vehicles | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| One or two parents traveling light | Luxury Sedan | Easy curbside pickup at San Antonio International and a quiet ride down US-90 to the west side. |
| Parents plus siblings and several suitcases | Luxury SUV | Room for four to eight bags and a comfortable third row after a long flight. |
| Grandparents and extended family arriving together | Mercedes Sprinter Van | Captain's chairs and step-in height that suit older passengers on the ride to the hotel. |
| Graduate plus family for the ceremony morning | Stretch Limousine | One vehicle keeps the group together for the drive to the visitor gate and photos afterward. |
| Two or three families sharing airport runs | Mini Bus | Luggage storage and group seating so nobody splits into separate cars at the curb. |
| Large family reunion or a whole flight of guests | Charter Bus | Up to 56 passengers on one reservation with a single point of contact for the weekend. |
Pricing
Lackland graduation transportation is priced either as a flat transfer between SAT or your hotel and the base area, or by the hour when the chauffeur waits through the ceremony and the trainee visit. Every quote is all-inclusive, with gratuity, tolls and fees explained before you reserve.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Minimum | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Luxury SUV | Up to 7 | 3 hours | Quote in 15 minutes |
| Mercedes Sprinter Van | 10 to 15 | 3 hours | Quote in 15 minutes |
| Mini Bus | 18 to 30 | 3 hours | Quote in 15 minutes |
| Luxury Sedan | Up to 3 | 3 hours | Quote in 15 minutes |
| SUV Stretch Limo | 12 to 18 | 3 hours | Quote in 15 minutes |
Included in every quote: chauffeur gratuity, tolls, fuel and parking. Graduation weeks fill fastest, and a longer wait through the parade and the on-base visit raises the hourly total more than the distance does.
Send your date and venues. We reply with an all-inclusive quote, usually within 15 minutes.
Sample schedule
This illustrative schedule shows how a family flying in for an Air Force basic training graduation might use one reservation across the weekend. Times and stops are examples only, and the actual ceremony date, gate and visitor rules come from the official graduation information.
Times are an example only; your planner builds your schedule from your flight times, the official ceremony schedule and the visitor instructions you receive.
How it works
Beyond the big day
Most families book more than the ceremony morning. Put the airport runs, the dinner and the off-base day on one reservation and the same planner keeps every ride on schedule.
Meet-and-greet pickups at San Antonio International with flight tracking and 60 minutes of free wait time on domestic arrivals. See airport transportation for how the pickup works.
A sedan or SUV to a River Walk or Southtown restaurant, with a set pickup time so the graduate is back before the base curfew.
A Sprinter van or stretch limousine for grandparents, parents and siblings traveling to dinner together from a downtown or Medical Center hotel.
Families with a free day often run to Austin or the Hill Country; book it as hourly chauffeur service so the car waits while you visit.
When cousins and grandparents fly in on different flights, a mini bus or motor coach moves everyone on one timetable.
Sunday departures often bunch up; a second vehicle or a timed shuttle loop gets every family to SAT with time for bags.
Locations
Graduation mornings at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland start early, and the gate lines on Military Drive and Luke Boulevard back up well before the ceremony. We build pickup times around that, collecting families from hotels near the River Walk, the airport corridor and the South Side, then dropping at the visitor gate the base directs graduates' families to. Because installations control access, drop-off and pickup happen only where base visitor rules allow, and your family follows the official visitor instructions for the event. Confirm the current schedule and drop-off zones with the organizer before you book. Families flying in for a Thursday or Friday ceremony often want one car that waits through the ceremony and takes everyone to lunch afterward.
Most graduation weekends begin at San Antonio International, where arrivals from out of state land on Friday and Saturday and want a straight ride to a hotel or to the base side of town. Our airport transportation includes flight tracking and 60 minutes of free wait time on domestic arrivals, so a delayed connection does not cost you the car. A chauffeur meets you in baggage claim with a name sign, and the drive south on US-281 and Loop 410 takes you to Lackland-area hotels or downtown in one leg. For a group landing on several flights, a Mercedes Sprinter Van or Mini Bus keeps the family together instead of splitting into separate cars.
Downtown is where many families stay for a Lackland graduation, and it works well: hotels along the River Walk and near the Alamo are 20 to 30 minutes from the base gate outside rush hour. The catch is morning traffic on I-35 and I-10, plus event weekends when the Henry B. González Convention Center fills the blocks around Market Street. We set pickup at the hotel's loading zone rather than have you walk to a corner, and we leave a cushion so a graduation formation never becomes a sprint. Afterward, a stretch limousine or SUV stretch limo gives the family room to ride to a celebration lunch on the River Walk.
Families who turn graduation into a Hill Country weekend stay in Boerne, Fredericksburg or New Braunfels and drive in for the ceremony. That means an early start on I-10 or US-290, and in summer the heat and weekend wine-country traffic on US-290 both affect timing. We quote the run as a point-to-point ride or by the hour if you want the car through the ceremony and the afternoon. A Luxury SUV handles four to seven passengers and their luggage comfortably, while a larger family group can share a Sprinter Limo with perimeter seating. Book the return leg at the same time so nobody is hunting for a ride after the ceremony.
Plenty of Air Force families live in Texas and drive or fly in from Houston, Austin or the Dallas-Fort Worth area rather than booking a hotel near the base. From Houston it is I-10 west; from Austin, I-35 south; from DFW, I-35E down through Waco. Each is a long-distance run we handle as a city-to-city car service, with a sedan or SUV for a couple and a Mini Bus or Charter Bus when grandparents and siblings travel together. Friday afternoon traffic out of Houston and Austin is the variable, so we plan arrival the evening before a morning ceremony. Send the reservation team every pickup address in one message and we will build the route around them.

FAQs
Pricing depends on the vehicle class, the pickup area, the hours the car is with you and the date. A sedan from a downtown hotel to the base gate is a different booking from an SUV that waits through the ceremony and runs the family to lunch. Send your dates, addresses and passenger count and we will return an all-inclusive quote, usually within 15 minutes, with gratuity, tolls and fees explained upfront.
Book as soon as you know the graduation date and your flights. Graduation weeks concentrate demand in San Antonio, and hotels and vehicles both fill for Thursday and Friday ceremonies. Two to four weeks out is comfortable for a sedan or SUV; larger vehicles for extended family are worth reserving earlier. Same-day requests are often possible when vehicles are available, so call even at short notice.
Yes. Book the car by the hour and the chauffeur stays with you through the ceremony, then takes the family wherever you go next. Hourly bookings are quoted with a minimum, and we show you the hours before you reserve. If you only need drop-off and a later pickup, we can schedule both legs as separate point-to-point rides with set times.
Alcohol is never permitted in any vehicle on a graduation booking, and that applies to every passenger regardless of age. Routes and pickup and drop-off times are set in advance and confirmed in writing. If the group includes minors, the route is parent-approved before the trip, and every stop is on the written schedule so no one is left waiting at a curb.
We track your flight, so a delayed arrival does not cancel the car. Domestic arrivals include 60 minutes of free wait time after landing, and the chauffeur meets you in baggage claim with a name sign. If the delay is long enough to change your plans for the next morning, call the 24/7 reservations line and we will adjust the pickup.
Match the vehicle to the group. A Luxury Sedan suits two or three people; a Luxury SUV carries up to seven with luggage. For eight to ten, the Stretch Limousine works; twelve to eighteen fit an SUV Stretch Limo, and up to twenty a Hummer Limo. Larger families often share a Mercedes Sprinter Van or Mini Bus, and a Charter Bus covers up to 56 for a full extended-family trip.
We drop off and pick up where base visitor rules allow, which is typically a designated visitor gate or lot rather than the ceremony itself. Military installations control access, so we never claim base access or a pass. Your family follows the official visitor instructions for the event, and we confirm the current drop-off zone with you before the pickup.
We cover all of San Antonio and the surrounding region, including downtown and River Walk hotels, the airport corridor, the South Side near the base, and Hill Country towns such as Boerne, New Braunfels and Fredericksburg. We also run long-distance pickups from Houston, Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth for families driving or flying in for the ceremony.
