Mini bus rental in six states

AA Limousine provides chauffeured mini bus service for groups of 18 to 30 passengers across New York, New Jersey, Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia and Texas, in executive, shuttle and mini coach configurations, with professional chauffeurs, flat all-inclusive rates and 24/7 dispatch.

Every mini bus rental includes a commercially licensed chauffeur. We do not offer self-drive hire, and no legitimate operator can: a vehicle of this size legally requires a licensed commercial driver.

The mini bus is the most practical vehicle in group transportation. It carries more people than a Sprinter van and reaches places a full-size motor coach cannot (hotel porticos, campus loading zones, suburban streets, venue forecourts), which is why it is the default choice for shuttle work and mid-size group travel.

It is also the vehicle most often booked on contract rather than as a one-off. A great deal of our mini bus work is recurring: a daily employee shuttle, a conference running four days, a university route, a hotel loop through a wedding weekend.

Request a quote online or call dispatch. Conference weeks, graduation weekends and peak wedding Saturdays are the hardest dates to secure.

Mini bus for airport group transfers

When twenty people arrive on the same flight, a mini bus is the only sensible answer: one vehicle, one arrival time, and luggage bays that take a full group's checked bags rather than forcing a second vehicle.

  • Flight tracked in real time; pickup adjusts automatically to the actual arrival
  • 60 minutes of complimentary wait time on domestic arrivals
  • Meet-and-greet inside baggage claim with a name sign, or curbside at the designated zone
  • Chauffeur name, mobile number and vehicle details sent before you land
  • Oversized-vehicle lanes and staging points pre-planned at every airport we serve
  • Split arrivals handled with staged pickups rather than one vehicle waiting for stragglers

For smaller parties, our sedan service covers one to three travelers, an SUV four to seven, and a Sprinter van ten to fifteen. A Limousine Service will tell you honestly which size fits before you book. See how we handle group airport arrivals.

Mini bus for corporate and employee shuttles

The largest recurring category of mini bus work: office-to-office loops, park-and-ride routes from a remote lot, campus connectors between buildings, and late-shift runs to transit stations.

  • Daily, weekly or seasonal contracts with fixed routes and timetables
  • Dedicated vehicle and regular chauffeur so riders see the same face
  • Consolidated monthly invoicing with department or cost-code tagging
  • Route adjustments handled by a named account coordinator, not a call queue
  • Backup vehicle dispatched automatically if a scheduled run is at risk

Corporate shuttle contracts with A&A Transportation start at one route and scale to a full program. Opening an account takes one conversation and carries no minimum spend. See corporate transportation and how corporate accounts work.

Mini bus for conferences and corporate events

Continuous hotel-to-venue loops, staged arrivals and departures, offsite dinners and evening programs. A&A Transport builds the manifest, publishes a rider-facing timetable, and staffs an on-site coordinator when the volume justifies it.

  • Multi-vehicle programs running to a published schedule
  • Peak-hour frequency increased around session start and close
  • VIP sedans and SUVs running alongside the main loop for speakers and executives
  • Signage and route boards in the windscreen
  • Daily reporting on ridership where the client wants it

Our conference shuttle planning checklist walks through the setup step by step.

Mini bus for weddings

Guest shuttles between hotel block, ceremony and reception, and late-night return runs so guests can drink and still get home. The mini bus is the right size for most weddings: a motor coach cannot reach many venues, and three SUVs cost more and arrive at different times.

  • Shuttle loops or fixed-time runs, built with you or your planner
  • Every address confirmed a week out, vehicles dispatched early rather than on time
  • Bridal party transport with room for dresses and kit
  • Certificates of insurance issued directly to venues that require them
  • Paired with a sedan or stretch limousine for the couple through AA Limo

See our wedding limo service.

Mini bus for schools, teams, churches and tours

Campus, school and university programs. Campus tours, admissions weekends, move-in days, field trips, athletics travel and inter-campus connectors. All chauffeurs on student programs clear the background screening that schools and universities require, and documentation is provided in advance. More in our guide to school, church and sports trips.

Sports teams and athletics. Team travel with equipment. Mini coaches carry the squad in the cabin and the kit bags in the luggage bays, which is the whole reason teams move from vans to a mini bus. Multi-day and multi-city schedules are quoted as a package by A&A Limousine & Bus Service.

Church, community and senior groups. Regular congregation runs, community outings, and assisted-living and retirement-community trips. These are among our most frequent recurring bookings. If anyone in the group needs mobility assistance, tell us at the quote stage so we can confirm the right vehicle.

Tours and sightseeing. Monument and museum circuits in DC, Manhattan loops, the Inner Harbor and Annapolis, Colonial Williamsburg and Texas Hill Country. Booked hourly for a half or full day, with the chauffeur managing routing, drop-off points and timing between stops.

Wine tours, brewery trails and day trips. Middleburg and Loudoun County, the North Fork and Hudson Valley, Maryland's Eastern Shore, the Jersey Shore and Hill Country out of Austin. Three to five stops is the realistic number for a day; coolers and glassware are on board for what you buy along the way. See wine tours.

Casino trips and group outings. Atlantic City, MGM National Harbor, Maryland Live! and Charles Town, plus beach, outlet and orchard days. Quoted as a flat-rate round trip with a set return, or hourly if the day is open-ended.

Production crews and touring groups. Film and television crews, touring musicians and photography teams moving between locations with cases, rigs and instruments. Overnight and multi-day programs with a dedicated chauffeur are standard work for A and A Transportation.

Celebrations. For birthdays, bachelorette parties and nights out, book the celebration vehicle instead: our party bus has perimeter lounge seating, LED lighting, a bar and standing room.

Mini bus configurations

"Mini bus" covers several builds with different interiors and different jobs. The right one depends on the route length, the luggage, and whether passengers need to board quickly or travel comfortably.

Shuttle mini bus20–25LightHotel and campus loops, conference transfers

Executive mini bus

The business configuration. Individual high-back seats in leather or premium cloth, generous legroom, reading lights, USB and 110V power, Wi-Fi on request, and a quiet cabin that holds a conversation at highway speed.

An executive mini bus is what corporate accounts book when the group needs to arrive composed and able to work on the way: client delegations, roadshows, board transport and offsite leadership days. It carries fewer passengers than a shuttle build of the same length, because the space goes into the seats.

Shuttle mini bus

Built for turnover rather than comfort. Forward-facing bench seating, wide entry door, low step height and grab rails. Passengers board and alight quickly, which is what makes a loop timetable hold.

The shuttle mini bus is the workhorse of conference programs, hotel loops, employee park-and-ride routes and campus connectors. For a twelve-minute run between a hotel and a convention center, it beats an executive build every time.

Mini coach

The largest configuration we run before a full motor coach. Coach-style seating for twenty-five to thirty, under-floor luggage bays, overhead parcel racks, climate control throughout and a smoother ride over distance.

A mini coach is the correct choice for airport groups, intercity transfers and any route over an hour. It is also the vehicle that solves the luggage problem: a shuttle build seats the same number but cannot take the bags, and that is the single most common sizing mistake in group transport.

How many seats does a mini bus have?

Our mini buses seat 18 to 30 passengers depending on configuration.

Luggage planning

This is where mini bus bookings most often go wrong, so it is worth being blunt about it.

A shuttle build with twenty-five seats has almost no luggage space: it is designed for short hops where people carry a bag on their lap. A mini coach with the same seat count has under-floor bays that take a full group's checked luggage. The two vehicles look similar from the curb and are not interchangeable.

ConfigurationPassengersLarge checked bags

Executive mini bus18–2410–16
Mini coach25–3025–30 in under-floor bays

Rule of thumb: if the group is coming from an airport, a cruise terminal or a multi-night trip, book the mini coach. If they are moving between a hotel and a venue with nothing but a conference badge, the shuttle build is faster and cheaper. Tell A&A Limousine the headcount and the bag count and we will name the configuration rather than sending whatever is free. For larger groups, compare options in mini bus vs motor coach.

Mini bus rental rates and booking terms

Three pricing structures, depending on the job:

  1. Flat-rate transfers. Point-to-point and airport runs are quoted as a single price: one pickup, one destination, no meter. Used for group arrivals, departures and intercity transfers.
  2. Hourly bookings. Multi-stop days, tours and events are quoted hourly with a minimum block: three to four hours on most dates, five to six on peak dates. The vehicle and chauffeur stay with your group for the full block.
  3. Shuttle and contract rates. Recurring routes, conference programs and multi-day work are quoted as a daily or program rate rather than by the hour, which is almost always cheaper than booking the same hours piecemeal. Ask about this if your route repeats; most clients do not realise it exists.
  • Rates depend on: vehicle configuration, hours or distance, date, number of stops, and whether the vehicle stays on site between runs.
  • Worth knowing: for groups of eighteen or more, one mini bus is normally cheaper than two Sprinter vans and considerably simpler to coordinate. Above thirty, a motor coach usually prices better than two mini buses.
  • Peak dates: conference weeks, graduation weekends, major holidays, New Year's Eve and peak wedding Saturdays price highest and sell out earliest.
  • Included in every quote: vehicle, chauffeur, fuel, tolls, standard parking, airport fees and gratuity. Nothing is added after the confirmation you agreed to.
  • Charges that can appear afterward: wait time beyond the complimentary window, stops added mid-trip, or extending an hourly booking, each quoted at a published rate before you agree to it.
  • Deposit: required on event and multi-vehicle bookings; contract accounts are invoiced monthly.
  • Cancellation: free up to four hours before pickup on local transfers, and 24 hours on event, long-distance and multi-vehicle bookings. Airline-caused cancellations are never charged. Contract clients can negotiate terms to match their policy.
  • Payment: all major credit cards, ACH, corporate cards, purchase orders and direct invoicing for established accounts.

Policies and how bookings run

  • Chauffeured service only. Every mini bus is supplied with a commercially licensed chauffeur. A vehicle of this size requires a commercial licence with a passenger endorsement, so self-drive is not something any legitimate US operator provides for this class.
  • Licensing and screening. Chauffeurs hold the commercial licensing and endorsements each state requires, and clear a national criminal background check, motor vehicle record review and DOT-standard drug and alcohol screening. Documentation is provided in advance for school, university, medical and government programs.
  • Capacity. The passenger limit is a legal limit, not a guideline. A chauffeur will not depart with an overloaded vehicle.
  • Hours of service. Chauffeurs are governed by federal duty-time limits. On long days and multi-day programs we build in the required rest or assign a second chauffeur, which is why an all-day schedule is quoted differently from the same hours split across two days.
  • Alcohol. Permitted on celebration bookings for passengers of legal drinking age where state law allows. Never permitted on school, student or under-21 programs, and enforced by the chauffeur without exception.
  • Smoking and vaping. Not permitted on any vehicle. Cleaning charges apply.
  • Shuttle timetables. Loop programs run to a published schedule agreed in advance. We will tell you honestly how many passes a vehicle can make given the real drive time between your points; the most common conference planning error is assuming more frequency than the route allows.
  • Access. Some addresses cannot take a 30-foot vehicle. A&A Limo Service checks every stop before confirming and proposes a staging point nearby rather than letting you discover the problem on the day.

Where we operate

New York mini bus rental

Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, Westchester and the Hudson Valley, plus Penn Station, Grand Central and Moynihan Train Hall. Midtown corporate shuttles, UN General Assembly week programs, university move-in weekends and Hamptons group travel make up most of the volume for A&A Limo. Manhattan access is the most restricted in our network, so staging points are planned at the quote stage. New York service area

New Jersey mini bus rental

Newark, Jersey City, Hoboken, Princeton, Edison, Paramus, Morristown, Cherry Hill and the Shore. Pharmaceutical and financial corridor employee shuttles run weekdays year round for A&A Limo Service, with Cape Liberty cruise transfers and Shore wedding shuttles filling the weekends. New Jersey service area

Washington, DC mini bus rental

The District and the wider DMV. Association conferences, federal and agency programs, embassy delegations, university events and monument tour circuits are core work for A & A Limousine Service. Several downtown corridors and security perimeters restrict oversized vehicles; we confirm stopping points before you finalise a venue. Washington DC service area

Maryland mini bus rental

Baltimore City and County, Bethesda, Rockville, Silver Spring, Columbia, Annapolis, Frederick, Towson, Dundalk and Essex. Medical-campus shuttles, Naval Academy weekends, university programs and Eastern Shore group travel are regular bookings for A and A Metro clients. Maryland service area

Virginia mini bus rental

Arlington, Alexandria, Tysons, McLean, Reston, Fairfax, Loudoun, Richmond, Charlottesville, Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Defense and government contractor shuttles in Northern Virginia, state business in Richmond, Loudoun wine-country groups and Colonial Williamsburg tours keep A & A Limo busy across the week. Virginia service area

Texas mini bus rental

Dallas and Houston, plus Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, Irving, The Woodlands, Sugar Land, Austin, Round Rock and San Antonio. Energy-sector shuttles in Houston, tech campus routes in Austin, and a heavy conference and game-day calendar give A and A Transportation steady Texas volume year round. Texas service area

Why book with AA Limousine

  • Owned and operated fleet, not a booking page reselling another company's vehicles
  • Employed chauffeurs: commercially licensed with passenger endorsements, background-checked, MVR-reviewed and DOT-screened
  • Commercial livery insurance well above state minimums, with certificates issued to venues, campuses and corporate clients on request
  • Documented preventive maintenance: tires, brakes and safety systems inspected on a calendar, not after a failure
  • Backup vehicles on contract routes: a scheduled shuttle that fails is a different problem from a missed one-off, and we plan for it
  • Access checked before you book: every stop verified for a 30-foot vehicle
  • 24/7 live dispatch: a person on the phone at any hour, not an app queue

What you get in writing before you pay

  1. Vehicle configuration and seating capacity
  2. Full itinerary or route timetable with every stop
  3. The total price, all-inclusive, with nothing added afterward
  4. Deposit and cancellation terms
  5. Operator licence, certificate of insurance and chauffeur screening documentation on request

One company, every vehicle class

Groups change size, and most clients need more than one vehicle class over a year. A&A Limousine Service runs the full range on one booking and one invoice:

Clients who first called A Limousines for a single airport sedan, or A&A Bus for a school charter, now run multi-vehicle conference programs through the same account.

How to book

  1. Send your date, headcount and bag count, plus every address the vehicle needs to reach and whether anyone needs mobility assistance. These four things decide the configuration.
  2. We confirm vehicle, capacity and access, including whether each stop can take a mini bus and how many passes a shuttle loop can realistically make.
  3. You receive the quote in writing. All-inclusive, with deposit and cancellation terms. Contract routes are quoted as a daily or program rate.
  4. Chauffeur details arrive before the day. Name, mobile number, vehicle information and live tracking. On recurring routes you get the same chauffeur wherever scheduling allows.

Lead times: standard transfers 24–48 hours · weddings and events 3–6 months · conference programs 4–8 weeks · recurring shuttle contracts 2–4 weeks to set up · graduation weekends and peak conference weeks as early as possible. Same-day and next-day requests are normal volume, so call A&A Transportation and ask rather than assuming it is too late.

Request a mini bus quote

Send your date, headcount, bag count and stop list and you will receive vehicle availability, the configuration we recommend and an all-inclusive price in writing. Book online at aalimousines.com, call dispatch (staffed 24/7, including holidays), or email to set up a shuttle contract, conference program or corporate account. If a mini bus is not the right size for your group, we will tell you which vehicle is before you book.

AA Limousine serves New York, New Jersey, Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia and Texas, and is also known as AA Limo, A&A Limousine, A&A Bus, A&A Limousine & Bus Service, A and A Transportation, A and A Metro and A & A Limousine Service. Frequently asked questions

What is a mini bus?

A mini bus is a passenger vehicle larger than a van and smaller than a full motor coach. Ours seat 18 to 30. In chartered service it is supplied with a commercially licensed chauffeur and booked by the hour, as a flat-rate transfer, or on a recurring shuttle contract.

What is a mini coach bus?

A mini coach is the larger, coach-built version: twenty-five to thirty passengers, coach seating, overhead racks and under-floor luggage bays. It is the configuration to book when the group has checked luggage or the route is over an hour.

How many people fit on a mini bus?

Our mini buses seat 18 to 30 depending on configuration. The rated capacity is a legal limit, not a target: book two to three seats above your headcount for comfort, and more if passengers have coats and bags with them in the cabin.

Can you rent a mini bus without a driver?

No. A vehicle in this class requires a commercial licence with a passenger endorsement, so all mini bus hire is chauffeured. Any operator offering self-drive for this size should be treated with caution.

Do you need a CDL to drive a mini bus?

For commercial passenger service in the US, yes: a commercial licence with a passenger endorsement, plus medical certification. Every AA Limousine chauffeur holds the licensing their state requires, and we provide documentation for school, university and government programs.

How much does it cost to rent a mini bus?

Transfers are flat-rated, multi-stop days are hourly with a minimum block, and recurring routes are quoted as a daily or program rate. Price depends on configuration, hours or distance, date and stop count. Quotes are all-inclusive: chauffeur, fuel, tolls, parking, airport fees and gratuity in one number.

Is a mini bus cheaper than booking several vans?

For eighteen or more passengers, usually yes. One mini bus typically prices below two Sprinter vans and removes the coordination problem of two vehicles arriving at different times.

How much luggage fits?

A mini coach takes a full group's checked bags in under-floor bays. A shuttle build has very little luggage room and is designed for short hops. Tell us the bag count and we will send the right one.

Can a mini bus collect us from the airport?

Yes, this is one of its strongest uses. We track your flight, adjust the pickup automatically and meet you inside baggage claim or curbside. Airline delays are never charged.

Can you run a daily or weekly shuttle route?

Yes. Recurring routes are a large part of our mini bus work, quoted as contract rates with a dedicated vehicle, a regular chauffeur and a published timetable.

Can we drink on board?

On celebration bookings, passengers of legal drinking age may where state law permits. Never on school, student or under-21 programs.

Is Wi-Fi available?

On request. Power outlets and USB charging are standard on executive and coach configurations.

Do you provide child safety seats?

Yes, free with advance notice and installed before pickup.

Do you serve destinations outside these six states?

Our own fleet operates in New York, New Jersey, DC, Maryland, Virginia and Texas. We arrange vetted affiliate mini bus service in other major markets nationwide, booked and billed through us.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit cards, ACH, corporate cards, purchase orders and direct invoicing for established accounts.
