Yorktown on the same loop
Add the Yorktown Battlefield and the waterfront on the return leg via the Colonial Parkway. A chauffeur handles the parkway's low speed limits and scenic pullouts so nobody is watching the road.

Day Trips
A chauffeur-driven day out handles the drive, the parking and the timing, so your group spends the day at Jamestown, Yorktown and Busch Gardens.

A Williamsburg day trip works best when the driving is somebody else's job. Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Battlefield sit within about 13 miles of each other along the Colonial Parkway, and Busch Gardens Williamsburg is a short hop north on Route 60. A chauffeur drops your group at the visitor center door, waits or returns at an agreed time, and moves you between sites while you keep your energy for the day itself.
We run these trips from Washington DC and Northern Virginia down I-95 and Route 64, and from Richmond up I-64 in under an hour. Families with grandparents and small children, school and church groups, and couples marking an anniversary book most often. Groups travel in a Mercedes Sprinter Van for the legroom, a Sprinter Limo for wine-country afternoons, or a Mini Bus when the whole party moves together. For a wider menu of private touring, see our sightseeing limo service.

Planning
The right vehicle depends on how many of you are traveling and whether you are doing the Historic Triangle in one push or splitting the day between the colonial sites and Busch Gardens. A day trip from DC or Richmond usually means a full day on the road, so pick for comfort as much as capacity, and compare every option on our fleet page.
| Who is riding | Recommended vehicles | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| Couple or solo traveler | Luxury Sedan | Quiet cabin and leather seats for the I-64 run, with door-to-door pickup at your home or hotel. |
| Family of four to seven | Luxury SUV | Room for 4–8 bags, easy step-in height and space for strollers and park gear. |
| Small group of eight to ten | Stretch Limousine | Everyone rides together with wraparound seating, so the day starts as an occasion. |
| Group of 10 to 15 | Mercedes Sprinter Van | Captain's chairs, Wi-Fi and USB charging keep a long day comfortable for all ages. |
| Twelve to eighteen riders | SUV Stretch Limo | LED ceilings and high-end audio for a birthday or bachelorette group heading to the park. |
| School, church or club outing | Mini Bus or Charter Bus | Reclining seats and luggage storage for groups up to 30 or 56 on a fixed schedule. |
Pricing
This trip is priced by the vehicle and by the hours you keep it, since the chauffeur stays with your group for the day rather than making a single run. Your quote is all-inclusive, with gratuity, tolls and fees explained upfront, and it usually arrives within 15 minutes.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Minimum | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Luxury SUV | Up to 7 | 3 hours | Quote in 15 minutes |
| Mercedes Sprinter Van | 10 to 15 | 3 hours | Quote in 15 minutes |
| Sprinter Limo | 10 to 14 | 3 hours | Quote in 15 minutes |
| Mini Bus | 18 to 30 | 3 hours | Quote in 15 minutes |
| Charter Bus | Up to 56 | 3 hours | Quote in 15 minutes |
Included in every quote: chauffeur gratuity, tolls, fuel and parking. Summer weekends, holiday Mondays and the December Christmas Town season at Busch Gardens carry the highest demand, and a longer day or a DC pickup rather than Richmond adds hours to the booking.

Sample schedule
This illustrative schedule starts from a DC hotel and covers Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens in one long day. Every group moves at its own pace, but this is how a chauffeur plans the driving so you spend your hours at the sites, not in the car.
Times are an example only. Your planner builds your schedule from your starting point, the sites you want and how long you plan to stay at Busch Gardens.
How it works
Beyond the big day
The Historic Triangle sits about 150 miles from DC and 50 from Richmond, so the ride is part of the plan. These are the add-ons and variations groups ask for most.
Add the Yorktown Battlefield and the waterfront on the return leg via the Colonial Parkway. A chauffeur handles the parkway's low speed limits and scenic pullouts so nobody is watching the road.
Howl-O-Scream in October and Christmas Town in December draw late crowds. A party bus or SUV stretch limo keeps a group together for the ride home after the park closes.
Book by the hour and the vehicle stays with you between Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown instead of releasing after each stop. See hourly limo service.
Guests coming from Richmond, Newport News or Virginia Beach meet the same itinerary on I-64. One reservation can run several vehicles with one point of contact.
School and church outings to the living-history sites run on parent-approved routes with set pickup and drop-off times. See school and church trip transportation.
Upper Shirley and the Charles City vineyards sit along Route 5 between Williamsburg and Richmond. Pair the history with a wine tour on the return.
Locations
From Georgetown townhouses and the Four Seasons, a Williamsburg day trip starts with a decision about how to leave the city. We pick up at M Street doorways, the West End hotels and K Street office fronts before 7 am, cross the Potomac on the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge and take I-395 to I-95 south. Fredericksburg sits about an hour in, and the restrooms at the Rappahannock rest areas are the usual first stop. Weekday departures clear the Mixing Bowl before the worst of the morning; Friday afternoons in summer are the exception, when I-95 south of Fredericksburg can add an hour. Returning after a Busch Gardens closing, we watch the same corridor and build in slack.
Georgetown · Downtown & Penn Quarter · Foggy Bottom & West End
Old Town Alexandria and the Rosslyn and Ballston office towers sit closest to the I-395 and I-95 spine, which makes this the shortest run to the Historic Triangle from Northern Virginia. A chauffeur collects your group at a King Street hotel, a Crystal City lobby or a Pentagon City residence and is on I-95 south past Springfield before the HOV lanes flip. Alexandria's Amtrak station is a useful meeting point for groups arriving from other cities. Summer Saturdays bring beach traffic through Fredericksburg, so we leave earlier than the map suggests and plan the run around an 8 am arrival at the Visitor Center.
Arlington · Alexandria · National Landing (Crystal City & Pentagon City)
Corporate groups in Tysons and the Dulles corridor often fold a Historic Triangle outing into a client visit or a team offsite. We collect passengers from Tysons Corner and Galleria offices, Reston Town Center and the Dulles Toll Road hotels, then run south on the Capital Beltway to I-95. For overseas guests staying near Dulles, the drive is longer than from Arlington, so an early start matters. Fall is the strongest season here: Colonial Williamsburg's streets are cooler, Busch Gardens runs its Halloween events and the return leg is dark by 7 pm. A Mercedes Sprinter Van keeps a dozen colleagues together with luggage space for the outlet stops on the way home.
Richmond is the natural base for this run: I-64 east from Short Pump reaches Williamsburg in under an hour, and the State Capitol and VCU areas are a short hop from the interstate. Groups coming from Charlottesville cross Afton Mountain on I-64, a stretch that fogs over in the Blue Ridge mornings, so we set pickup times with that in mind. Fredericksburg riders join the same corridor from I-95. A Richmond pickup can be a single point-to-point run to the park gates or an hourly booking that waits through the day and brings everyone back after the last coaster. William & Mary move-in weekends and graduation in May fill the roads around Merchants Square, and a Williamsburg day trip booked for those dates needs an earlier start.
From the Oceanfront and Norfolk, the Historic Triangle is a straight shot up I-64 past Newport News and the James River bridges, roughly an hour without summer backup. Groups staying in Virginia Beach often want one vehicle for the whole day rather than two separate runs, so a Mini Bus or Charter Bus collects everyone at the hotel and stays parked at Busch Gardens while the group moves between the coaster sections and the shows. Norfolk's cruise terminal arrivals sometimes add a Williamsburg day trip before a sailing. Tunnel traffic at the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel is the wildcard, so we check the live crossing times before setting the departure.

How many riders are traveling and whether anyone needs extra legroom or step-in help.
Which sites you want: Historic Jamestowne, the Jamestown Settlement, Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown or Busch Gardens.

Why us
One company covers Virginia and the surrounding states, so a Historic Triangle trip can start in DC, Richmond or Hampton Roads under one reservation.
A sedan for two travelers or a 56-passenger coach for a school or church group, all booked through one point of contact.
All-inclusive quotes usually within 15 minutes, with gratuity, tolls and fees explained upfront before you commit.
Reservations and dispatch are staffed around the clock, so a changed park closing time or a late return still reaches a person.
FAQs
Pricing depends on the vehicle class, the number of hours, your pickup location and the date. A sedan from Richmond is a very different booking from a charter bus from Northern Virginia with ten hours of waiting time. Send your pickup address, group size and date, and we will return an all-inclusive quote, usually within 15 minutes, with gratuity, tolls and fees itemized.
Two to four weeks ahead is comfortable for most weekend and summer dates, and earlier for school, church and corporate groups that need a coach. Spring break weeks, Memorial Day through Labor Day, and October weekends at Busch Gardens fill fastest. Same-day requests are often possible when vehicles are available, so call and ask even at short notice.
Most groups book hourly service for the full day rather than point-to-point, because the chauffeur waits while you move between the park, Merchants Square and the Visitor Center. A typical plan leaves Northern Virginia around 7 am, reaches the Historic Triangle by 9:30, and returns after the park closes. We build the schedule from your own must-do list and confirm the hours before you book.
Guests 21 and older may bring their own beverages in our limousines and party vehicles where state law allows, and we provide ice and glassware. In sedans, SUVs and vans, bottled water is onboard and light snacks are fine. Alcohol is never permitted for underage passengers, and Busch Gardens itself has its own rules inside the gates.
Tell your chauffeur or dispatch as soon as the timing shifts, and we extend the reservation where the vehicle and the next booking allow. Hourly service makes this straightforward; a fixed point-to-point return has less room. Overtime is billed at the hourly rate shown on your confirmation, so there are no surprises when you get home.
A Luxury SUV suits a family of up to seven with strollers and coolers, and a Luxury Sedan covers couples and solo travelers. Groups of ten to fifteen fit a Mercedes Sprinter Van with captain's chairs and USB charging. Larger school, church and corporate groups usually take a Mini Bus or Charter Bus with luggage bays for outlet shopping bags.
Yes. Several vehicles can run under one reservation with a single point of contact, which keeps a school or church group on one schedule and one invoice. We assign pickup points, departure times and a group leader contact, and the chauffeurs stay in touch with each other and with dispatch through the day. For a coach, we confirm the loading order at each stop and the exact return time before the trip, so the group leader has one number to call.
We cover the whole of Virginia plus pickups in Washington DC and Maryland, including Arlington, Alexandria, Tysons, Reston, Richmond, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Chesapeake. Long-distance trips from other states we serve are also available. A Williamsburg day trip can start at a hotel, an office, a residence or a train station, and return the same evening.
