National Harbor & Oxon Hill, MD sits on the Maryland bank of the Potomac, just south of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and a short hop from Alexandria and National Landing. The waterfront draws convention crowds to the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, nightlife and shows to MGM National Harbor, and steady business travel to the offices and hotels along Oxon Hill Road and Harborview Avenue. Riders here book car service in National Harbor & Oxon Hill for early flights out of Reagan National, corporate travel into DC and Northern Virginia, hourly chauffeurs for convention days, and long-distance runs to Baltimore, Dulles or New York. Because the resort complex sits inside a single gate, most trips begin and end at a lobby door rather than a curb, which is where a reserved chauffeur earns its keep. The Tanger Outlets, the Capital Wheel and the waterfront restaurants along the Potomac add weekend traffic, and the National Harbor Marina and nearby Fort Washington Park draw visitors in the warmer months. Oxon Hill itself is a mix of residential streets, gated communities off Livingston Road and office buildings along Oxon Hill Road, so a precise address and entrance matter more here than in a dense downtown grid. Across the bridge, National Landing and Crystal City are close enough for a quick business hop, while Capitol Hill and Navy Yard sit a short drive north along I-295. That geography shapes how people use a chauffeured car here: a quick point-to-point to DCA, an hourly car held through a convention day, or a single reservation that keeps a team together from the Gaylord to an off-site dinner and back.

For this area we run airport transfers, hourly chauffeurs, point-to-point rides and city-to-city trips, with the vehicle matched to the party. A luxury sedan covers solo executives and couples heading to DCA, the luxury SUV handles families with luggage, and the Mercedes Sprinter Van keeps a convention team together with room for bags. Groups moving between the Gaylord and an off-site dinner are best served by our conference and convention shuttle service, booked as one reservation with a single point of contact. Tell the reservation team about any special requests when you book, and we will confirm the details in writing before pickup.

Choosing the Right Vehicle for Your Group in National Harbor & Oxon Hill

Vehicle choice here usually comes down to two things: how many people are traveling and how much luggage is coming along. A couple heading to Reagan National needs something very different from a convention team moving display materials from the Gaylord. Compare capacities on the full fleet page before you book.

Local guide

Getting around National Harbor & Oxon Hill by chauffeured car

The roads that shape every trip here are Oxon Hill Road, Harborview Avenue and the ramps onto Interstate 295 and the Capital Beltway, with the Woodrow Wilson Bridge carrying traffic into Virginia. Reagan National is the default airport for this side of Prince George's County, and the drive is short enough that a reserved car beats parking at the terminal. Beltway backups near the bridge and the I-295 interchange are the usual risk at rush hour, and event nights at MGM National Harbor or a large convention at the Gaylord add their own congestion around the resort gates. Build a buffer on weekday mornings and when a show lets out, and let your chauffeur choose the bridge or the Anacostia route based on live conditions.

Pickup logistics at National Harbor are simpler than in downtown DC because the resort complex has designated loading areas at each hotel and venue entrance. Tell us the property and door you are leaving from, whether that is the Gaylord, MGM National Harbor or a restaurant on the waterfront, and your chauffeur will meet you there rather than in a distant lot. Oxon Hill residential streets and gated communities need a gate code or a named entrance so the car is not left waiting at the wrong address. For office buildings along Oxon Hill Road, give the suite or floor and a phone number, and we will coordinate with the lobby. Chauffeurs arrive 15 minutes before pickup, which covers the walk from a convention hall or a hotel elevator.

Most riders meet their chauffeur at the main entrance of the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, at the MGM National Harbor hotel lobby or casino entrance, or at the front door of the waterfront hotels and restaurants. Others are collected from homes in Oxon Hill, Fort Washington and the neighborhoods off Livingston Road, or from offices along Oxon Hill Road. If you are arriving by transit, the nearest rail connections are in Anacostia and Alexandria, so tell us which station and we will set a clear curbside spot. The details that matter most are the property name, the specific entrance, the time and a mobile number, so the chauffeur can reach you if the plan shifts.

Demand in National Harbor & Oxon Hill follows a clear calendar. Spring and summer bring convention season to the Gaylord and waterfront weekends, while fall fills the corridor with corporate travel and Capitol Hill-adjacent business. Winter holidays add airport runs and evening events at MGM National Harbor, and the depths of January and February are quieter. Weekday mornings are the busiest window for DCA departures, and evenings when a big convention or show lets out are the hardest times to find a last-minute car. For weddings and proms, book 4 to 8 weeks ahead; airport and corporate rides usually need about 24 hours, and same-day is often possible when vehicles are available.

Pickup areas

Neighborhoods and Communities We Pick Up From in and Around National Harbor & Oxon Hill

Our A&A Limousine team covers the National Harbor waterfront and the surrounding Prince George's County communities, plus the DC and Virginia neighborhoods just across the river.

National Harbor

The waterfront district on the Potomac, home to the Gaylord National, MGM National Harbor and the Capital Wheel. Rides from here are mostly airport transfers to DCA, convention shuttles and evening point-to-point runs to MGM. Traffic builds on Oxon Hill Road and the Harbor entrances around check-in and event times, so we plan pickup points in advance.

Oxon Hill

The residential community around Oxon Hill Road and Saint Barnabas Road, just inland from the waterfront. Most rides are door-to-door airport runs to Reagan National or Dulles, plus weekday commutes into downtown DC. Chauffeurs confirm the exact address and entrance ahead of pickup, since some streets are quiet and easy to miss.

Fort Washington

A riverside community south of National Harbor along Indian Head Highway, near Fort Washington Park. Rides from here tend to be longer airport transfers or city-to-city trips, so we allow extra time for the drive to the highway before heading north.

Temple Hills

A Prince George's County community just north of Oxon Hill, close to the Beltway and Suitland Parkway. Typical rides are airport transfers and corporate runs into DC, with pickup times set around Beltway traffic rather than straight-line distance.

Clinton

A community in southern Prince George's County along Branch Avenue, convenient to Joint Base Andrews and the Beltway. Rides from Clinton are often early airport departures or group charters, and we confirm pickup well before dawn for those.

Navy Yard, DC

Across the Anacostia River, the Navy Yard and Capitol Riverfront area is a short hop from National Harbor via the bridges. Rides here are usually evening point-to-point trips, game-day drop-offs and corporate runs, with pickup points chosen around stadium crowds.

The Wharf & Southwest Waterfront, DC

The rebuilt Southwest Waterfront sits directly across the Potomac from National Harbor. It is a natural pairing for dinner and event nights, and the drive across the bridge is short outside peak hours; we set pickup times around the evening rush.

Alexandria and National Landing, VA

Alexandria, Crystal City and Pentagon City sit just across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, minutes from National Harbor. These are among our most common pickup points for convention shuttles, airport runs and hourly corporate service in the Tysons and Pentagon corridors.

FAQs

Car Service in National Harbor & Oxon Hill: FAQs

What does a car service in National Harbor & Oxon Hill cost, and what changes the price?

We quote each ride individually rather than publish rates, because the price depends on your vehicle class, pickup time, distance, waiting time and any stops along the way. A short transfer to Reagan National prices differently from an hourly chauffeur held through a convention day at the Gaylord. Booking a car service in National Harbor & Oxon Hill means gratuity, tolls and fees are built into the all-inclusive quote and explained upfront, and you get it in writing before you reserve with a secure deposit.

How far ahead should I book a ride in National Harbor & Oxon Hill?

For airport and corporate rides, 24 hours ahead is usually enough, and same-day requests are often possible when vehicles are available. Weddings and prom trips are best booked 4 to 8 weeks out. If you are coordinating a group across MGM National Harbor, the Gaylord and several hotels during a convention week, tell the reservation team your full schedule early so a car service in National Harbor & Oxon Hill can run several vehicles under one reservation with one point of contact.

How long is the ride from National Harbor & Oxon Hill to Reagan National (DCA)?

DCA is about 6 miles from National Harbor and Oxon Hill, a drive of roughly 10 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. Crossing the Woodrow Wilson Bridge toward Alexandria and the airport is the usual route, and morning rush or a convention letting out at the Gaylord can push you toward the longer end. We track your flight, so if your departure time shifts, your chauffeur adjusts and meets you on arrival.

Where does the chauffeur meet me at my National Harbor hotel?

Your chauffeur arrives 15 minutes before pickup and meets you at the main entrance or the porte-cochère your hotel uses for guest vehicles, with the exact spot confirmed in your written confirmation. National Harbor properties including MGM National Harbor and the Gaylord have large arrival areas and their own traffic patterns, so tell the reservation team which entrance or tower you are in. You receive the chauffeur's name and contact details before pickup.

Do you track flights and include waiting time for airport pickups?

Yes. We track your flight and include 60 minutes of free wait time for domestic arrivals, with meet-and-greet service available at Reagan National, Dulles, BWI and the other airports we cover. If your flight lands early or late, the schedule moves with it. For arrivals at DCA, your chauffeur watches the flight and meets you inside with a name sign, then walks you to the vehicle for the short ride back to National Harbor or Oxon Hill.

Which vehicle should I book for my group size?

A luxury sedan suits up to 3 passengers and a luxury SUV up to 7, which covers most families and small teams. For 10 to 15 travelers, the Mercedes Sprinter Van has captain's chairs, Wi-Fi and luggage space, while the Sprinter Limo seats 10 to 14 with perimeter seating. Larger convention groups fit a Mini Bus at 18 to 30 or a Charter Bus up to 56. Tell us your headcount and bag count and we will match the class.

Can you handle transportation for a convention at the Gaylord National Resort?

Yes. Conference and convention shuttle work is one of the services we run most often around National Harbor, moving attendees between the Gaylord, MGM National Harbor, nearby hotels and Reagan National. Several vehicles can operate under a single reservation with one point of contact, and corporate accounts with monthly billing are available. Share your session times and arrival waves and we will build a schedule around them, with chauffeurs arriving 15 minutes before each pickup.

Do you also serve Alexandria and National Landing (Crystal City & Pentagon City)?

Yes. Alexandria, Crystal City and Pentagon City sit just across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge from National Harbor and Oxon Hill, and our Virginia service covers them along with Arlington and Tysons. That makes a chauffeured car practical for meetings in National Landing, dinner in Old Town or a connection at Reagan National. Cross-river trips are quoted as point-to-point rides or by the hour, whichever fits your day.

Can you drive me from National Harbor to a show or dinner at MGM National Harbor?

Yes. MGM National Harbor sits on the Oxon Hill waterfront minutes from the Gaylord and the National Harbor shops, and a chauffeured point-to-point ride drops you at the entrance without hunting for parking in the garage. Book a sedan or SUV for the evening, or hold a chauffeur by the hour if you plan dinner, a show and a late return. For a bigger celebration, our Maryland limo service covers parties and nights out.

What is traffic like on Oxon Hill Road and the Wilson Bridge, and does it affect my pickup time?

Oxon Hill Road, the Capital Beltway and the Woodrow Wilson Bridge carry heavy commuter traffic on weekday mornings and late afternoons, and event nights at MGM National Harbor or the Gaylord add their own congestion. That is why we confirm pickup times against your flight or appointment rather than promising fixed drive times, and why chauffeurs arrive 15 minutes early. Around the December holidays and summer convention season, allow extra room when you set your pickup.
